Urlink is built to help you save things and get back to them later. This page explains what information we use to make that work, why we use it, and the choices you still control.
Overview
Urlink is designed for saving and retrieval, not ad targeting.
We use information to run your account, store your saved links, keep your library searchable, let you connect with people you trust, and manage optional paid features. We also use a small amount of browser storage on this marketing site to remember your light or dark theme preference.
If we introduce a materially different data use later, we will update this page before rolling it out in the normal course of business.
What We Collect
The information depends on the features you use.
- Account and profile details such as your email address, sign-in method, display name, username, and profile photo if you add one.
- Your saved library details, including URLs, titles, descriptions, notes, tags, favorites, archive state, and related metadata that help you find things later.
- Connections and invite details such as usernames, invite activity, connection state, and sharing activity when you use Discover and connections features.
- Subscription status details needed to confirm whether Urlink Pro is active on your account.
Optional permissions and features
- If you allow contact matching, Urlink may process normalized email addresses and phone numbers from your contacts to help you find people you already know.
- If you use voice search, Urlink may request microphone access to turn speech into a search query.
- If you upload a profile image, Urlink may request photo-library access and store that image with your profile.
- If you turn on notifications, Urlink stores the device registration details needed to send those alerts.
Information kept on your device
Urlink stores local cache data and app preferences on your device so the app can load faster and remember settings. This website may use local browser storage to remember the theme you choose.
How We Use It
We use your information to make Urlink work and feel useful.
- Create and secure your account.
- Save, sync, search, and organize the links and notes in your library.
- Power features like favorites, archive, discoverability settings, connection invites, and shared recommendations.
- Confirm subscription status and let you manage Urlink Pro through the billing flow available on your platform.
- Deliver optional notifications and alerts when you turn those on.
- Respond to support requests and keep the service working safely.
If you use Urlink Pro AI features, relevant link information such as the URL, title, description, author, notes, and tags may be processed server-side to suggest cleaner titles, short summaries, categories, and tags. AI help is optional, and the app is designed to keep working without it.
Your Choices
You still control how much of Urlink you use.
- You can update your profile details, saved links, notes, tags, and discoverability settings inside the app.
- You can turn contact matching, microphone access, photo access, and notifications on or off through your device settings.
- You can manage or cancel paid subscriptions through Google Play where that billing flow is available.
- You can choose not to use Pro AI features and keep using Urlink without them.
Because Urlink is still evolving, some account-management actions may require help from support. If you need help with your data, email us and we will take a closer look.
